CANDY MOLDS - CHOCOLATE MOLDS
are NOT suitable for making hard candy. You need Candy molds designed to hold the high temeratures of the hard candy mixes. 


 Candy Mold Quality 
All of our Custom Made Chocolate Candy molds we carry are made from quality FDA approved plastic with a grade of no less than .025 ga Clear or Ultra clear plastic.

 Pricing for Custom Molds

1. Set-up starts at $60.00 for "Plain" Business Card type molds. Molds will then be available for $2.00 each in quanties of 6.
2. More intriciate Set-up designs start at $70.00 with molds priced at $2.00 each in quanties of 6.

What we need for Custom Designs.

1. Black and White camera ready art work is preferred, however we can work with some color art work.
2. Size and font type. (for business cards, we can probally work from your current card).

3. Restrictions: No designs may contain undercuts of any type. Nor may they be 40% larger in height/thickness than width times length. (ideal thickness is 7/8 inch and under). No pointed or sharp edges / corners. (must be softly rounded).

 

Procedure for Custom Designs.  

1. Contact us for information if needed.

2. Send a copy of art work.

3. We'll review the art work submitted and return any suggestions for corrections if any are needed. We'll then provide a max price estimate and turn around time (normally 4 to 6 weeks).

4. A deposit will then be required for the full estimate. Once the desposit is made we'll then start the machine work.

5. As soon as the first casting is complete we'll send you a copy of the completed casting for approval. This will be a identical copy of what your finsihed product will look like.

6. If no changes in designs are needed we'll then form the molds.

7. Changes from the original art work will be made at $20.00 per hour, it is critical that you have a satisfactory design when first submitting your art work as it requires a complete new machined casting to be made for each change. Corrections in spelling etc. will be made at no charge if it a error on our part.


FAQ's

1. Why can't we have sharp corners?
a. Many details in designs may cause the mold to web when formed. Soft smooth designs form better and portray better details.

2. Why the limitations on sizes?
a. Plastic can only be stretched to certain limits over certain area. Stretching beyond the limit can cause puncture holes and thin or weak spots in the plastics. We'll gladly review your design before we comitt you to any charges and let you know of any suggested changes that may need to be made.

3. Who owns the mold.
a. You do. However we will retain ownership of the actual casting. We will not sell or give your design(s) to anyone nor will we use it for our own designs.

4. I have a old mold I want duplicated, but it has a copyright, will you duplicate this item.
a. NO. We will not duplicate any copyrighted or liscensed items to which you do not own the rights to. Any designs we find that we may have inadvertenly duplicated will be immediately destroyed. Should we be asked by the copyright holder or any legal counsel for information on the copyrighted designs we will furnish such with all information we have available. If any submitted design is in question, we may require and copyright / liscense release form be filled out and submitted before any work is preformed by us. Examples of items we will not duplicate: Disney Theme, NASCAR, Oscar, Auto Manufacturers while still in production, Persons / Company Names.

5. Do you ever buy designs submitted.
a. YES if we think a design may be popular or resaleable we may offer to make you this design for free and hold release for a few months. ALSO if you're just looking for a special design and don't want to pay the costs of the design work, we may be interested in the design for our own collection. Feel free to submit us any suggestions.

6. Can I get boxes to match my mold.
a. We can at most times match a popular standard size box to your design. If we cannot locate a box we can have custom boxes made or work with you to make changes to your design that will allow it to fit a standard box.
